I've been really happy with my side mount and it's held up perfectly. I get lots of compliments on it everywhere I go; people really like seeing the bike side mounted. It also leaves the bed open and makes accessing it far easier without having to have top rails or putting the bike in the bed. Mine's full of tools, camping and offroading gear so this is important to me.
Installation of the mount is easy if you have factory rails inside the bed. The factory soft bed cover does require some minor modification to fit but it's not challenging. Get some thick neoprene and run it under the cover rails and they slide right over the mount and leave them water tight. You'll have to remove the plastic end cap as well; add more neoprene at the end if you want to keep water out.
I forget how long ago I purchased this but I still use it a lot. I appreciate you designed this and made it available.
